COUNSELING

Counseling is warranted at different times in life. Marriage counseling is most often needed between the ages of 35 and 45. During those years stresses build up as children become teenagers, husbands and wives go through their midlife transition and their parents become more dependent on them. Being able to draw on Birth Order strengths becomes vital in these stressful times.

Career counseling often becomes necessary as people get past 45 when post-midlife attitudes make them dissatisfied but unable to determine what they want to do.

Counseling for emotional issues is often most needed around age 16, ages 26-28 and ages 38-42. These life passages often bring people into conflict with each other, force them to make changes and create strong emotions.

Traumatic life experiences, difficult relationships and unusual stresses can create an urgent need for counseling. Physical pain that results from suppressed emotional pain calls for counseling. Sometimes counseling helps alleviate certain illnesses that have subconscious emotional involvement.

Counseling by phone has certain advantages. You do it in the privacy of your own home, your anonymity is protected and it may be more effective without the distractions of a counselor’s office. Phone counseling gives you power that you would not have in the office. Phone counseling has been found to be successful.
